KETAK GRASS WEBBING 1
Lombok Island also quite well known in national market as a region of Ketak grass webbing producer, even some already goes into export market. In LATIN this kind of grass is called “Lygodium Circinatun”. In Lombok, the local people, especially women, transformed this “ketak” into various shape of displays, decoration, or other household tool. These are the common shape of “ketak” that we produce, we are also ready to make any kind of shape according to the customer’s preferences. Besides that, these natural products are totally harmless and chemical-free during and after the production. Here are some of the samples:

This is merely Sasak Culture since very long time ago. We've been independently (no help at all from the government, or other foundation) participating in promoting this culture to Support the Visit Lombok program for the tourist to come to Lombok Island.

Legend of Princess Mandalika (Bau Nyale) in the South of Lombok
According to the ancient tale, in the south coast of Lombok island there is a kingdom called Tonjang Beru. Around this kingdom, great halls have made for the meeting of the kings of the Lombok Island. The kingdom of Tonjang Beru is ruled by a king which renowned for his wisdom and justice. The King’s wife named Queen Dewi Seranting.
The King has a daughter, named Princess Mandalika. When she reached an adulthood, she became a very beautiful girl. She was very graceful and beautiful. Her eyes were like like the stars in the east. Her beauty was so incomparable all across the island. She also was renowned as a friendly and polite behavior princess. That's what makes the Princess became the pride of her people.
